Towards the light, at the end of the tunnel

There are practically no female voices in Pakistan’s Rock music scene and it’s in dire need of new talent in that area and Dilara couldn’t have picked a better time to show up.

A commercial writer by profession, she claims music to have always been her first true love. She fell in love with it when she was 8 years old, when she remembers her sisters listening to popular music of that time. But her interest in Rock music developed much later.

Dilara finally got her break when she came to know members of a renowned band AaroH of Pakistan . A good friend and also the producer of her first single, Kamran is the one she gives the credit to for making her dream come true.

The lyrics and composition give "You’re the one" a dejected feel. It starts off with an eerie, crooning voice and the words expresses regret of making mistakes and the wasted attempts to correct them and the anger and pain of a woman weathered and torn is unleashed in the chorus. This song is Dilara’s first attempt at song writing though she does have some more coming soon.
