The band DHOOP was formed, when Tariq ( the brainchild behind project DHOOP ) met with Asif and Azfar ( two extremely talented musician ) earlier this year ( 2004 ) in chicago. When they realized that they are all on the same wavelength, they decided to form a band. Soon they found the drummer Asad and later Farhan joined the band as another wonderful addition.

They have already got some great reviews from the audience after their live performaces and their two studio version of "Terey Pyar Main" and "Such hai Pyar Mera". A fusion of eastern classical and western soft rock & Jazz.

They recently came out with their first patriotic track “Salaam” A tribute to Pakistani Soldiers featuring Naseem Begum’s Aey Rah-e-haq ke Shaheedon, professionally mixed and mastered in Chicago. Unlike their first two track this track is not a studio version. After listening to the first mastered track it seems like DHOOP band member are all set to make a splash in showbiz.

Even though they are new in the industry, they have already touched some high notes by some wonderful live performances by opening the shows and performed with Junoon, Stereo Nation, Sukhbir and Shahzar Roy.

DHOOP members are a bunch of very intellectual guys, After having successful careers in Corporate America, they are pursuing this new career in a very professional manner. By listening to some of initial efforts it seems like they are very focused on lyrics and melody of their songs, which make their music stand out among young and upcoming bands.

DHOOP is currently busy in recording their first Album. They have also started working on their Videos. We wish them all the best...Keep up the good work.
